Statement from SBTP re Senator Elect Brown’s Victory
Appropriately in the Birthplace of the American Revolution
(Santa Barbara, CA – 01.20.10) – SBTP congratulates Senator Elect Brown on an upbeat victorious campaign. We also salute the millions of tea partiers throughout our great nation – as non partisan Americans – who rallied around Mr. Brown and helped him win. The message that Massachusetts’ voters sent to the Obama Administration is clear and simple: Americans demand the defeat of the Healthcare Bill and the end to socialistic policies plagued with Chicago style corruption. The message is especially potent coming from the bluest of blue states that Obama won by 23 points fourteen months earlier and that he failed to woo back in a visit two days before Coakley-Brown Election Day.
SBTP sends accolades and appreciation to the good people of Massachusetts for their vote to preserve their historic legacy. The election of the underdog candidate sent a shock wave through America, reminding us all that Massachusetts’ soil is sacred as the Birthplace of the American Revolution and the home of the Boston Tea Party, some of our greatest patriots — Paul Revere, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, Samuel Adams, the Sons of Liberty, the Minutemen –and the Battle at Concord that sent a warning to tyrants and vendors of tyranny both at home and abroad that we will forever fight for freedom.
